THE PROBLEM: You’re working on your Windows PC – you double click an icon and (for whatever reason) the window opens outside the frame of your screen?
Just like Col. Kurtz in Apocalypse Now – the Window has gone ROGUE! It is “out there operating without any decent restraint, totally beyond the pale of any acceptable” control! (1)
- Locate the desired “program icon” on your taskbar (usually at the bottom of your screen).
- Press & Hold the SHIFT key, as you RIGHT CLICK the desired icon.
This opens a context menu (pictured).
- Release the SHIFT key, and click “MOVE”.
You can probably take it from here!
But just in case there’s a snag –
Your cursor is now hovering on the title bar of the desired window, so (just act like you want to move an icon) …
- Regular click & hold down on your mouse, then move it slightly (in any direction), & release.
